Flames of War Resources.
Since I am getting into Flames of War, I thought I would post up a few helpful resources!
Miniatures
Flames of War
Well first and foremost, there is the Flames of War website itself. A fantastic range of miniatures in 15mm scale with quality details and plenty of rule books and gaming accessories! Just what you would expect from a major supplier!
You can find them here: http://www.flamesofwar.com/
Plastic Soldier Company
A truly awesome website for bulking out your forces with high quality plastic miniatures in 15mm scale. Do not be put off by the low price, these models are very good and well worth looking into buying!
You can find them here: http://theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk/
Forged in Battle
What can I say? Yet another great company for buying your miniatures for 15mm scale games! More expensive than PSC, but great quality none the less!
You can find them here: http://www.forgedinbattle.com/
Peter Pig
Good website for more miniatures. I especially like the German Cavalry!
You can find them here: http://www.peterpig.co.uk/
Quick Reaction Force
I don't have much experience with these guys, however, there are a lot of designs and some very interesting quality looking pieces on here so it's worth taking a looky!
You can find them here: http://quickreactionforce.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=440_441
Old Glory
Some of their models live up to the name, but not very many pictures. Anyone have experience with them?
You can find them here: http://www.oldgloryuk.com/
Eureka Miniatures
Some really nice stuff here not seen on other websites. Downside, it's in Australia! So depending on postage, it could be pricey.
You can find them here: http://eurekamin.com.au/index.php?cPath=87_102_109
Old Glory 25s (Supplier for True North Miniatures who no longer exist)
Decent range of "interesting" miniatures from armies not very well covered by other suppliers. Includes: Polish, Dutch, Hungarian etc.
You can find them here: http://www.oldglory25s.com/index.php?cat_id=979&catname='15mm%20WWII'
Resistant Roosters
Decent looking range of miniatures. They do list a currently OOP Greatcoat US Squad! Hope it comes back soon.
You can find them here: http://www.resistantroosters.com/
Free Army Building Software!
Truly a great program! You can select from any book and build a force based around that in no time!
Find it here: http://fowlists.blogspot.com.au/p/welcome.html
Local Retailers
As with any game, we recommend you use a local retailer where possible, it's nice to show your support! I've created a list below of retailers who sell Flames of War in the Tayside and Angus area.
Highlander Games
- Flames of War
(Other retailers please let me know if you stock any 15mm WW2 miniatures and we'll add you to the list.)
