Flames

Hello everyone, looking for some advice on painting flames, as an example on a leg of a space marine.

Anyone got any pointers?

Try referencing flames on car body work, these have real strong lines that would translate well onto a mini. From there just sketch them in one colour and wet blend them up through yellow>red if thats the colours youre going for.

yeah that was the plan, and recommendation on consistency then? as I haven't had a go at wet blending yet. hopefully do some today with paddy on power swords.

Keep it pretty fluid, not much water, just kind of feather the colors together with a wet brush. Nearly popped into gw earlier.
